The snoot is a useful light modifier if you are trying to place a small pool of light onto your subject. It is popular in portraiture for placing a rim of light onto the hair either from above or behind. It’s also used to place an ellipse of light onto the backdrop. Its key feature is its ability to retain any present ambient lighting you require whilst pinging in a small spot of light.
Snoot can give an approx 15 degree spot of light, the spot of light can be narrowed even further by adding the included honeycomb attachment.
